This plugin offers your visitors a one-click translation of your posts and pages. The options for translation depends on the base language of your blog.

The plugin translates posts and pages from:

1. Danish to English and Norwegian
2. Swedish to English, Danish and Norwegian
3. English to Danish and Norwegian

The plugin inserts links to translations after each post or in the sidebar. On the administration page you choose the base language and one or more languages to offer translations to. And you choose to open the translation in a new window or in the same window.

The links for translation is inserted in a new line after the post. The links are encapsulated in

. You can edit the layout of the links by making a style for the scantrans class in your style sheet.

You can choose text or flag icons for links.

The translation is performed by gramtrans.com.

This plugin provides a widget which offers links to different automatic translations of the current site in one of your sidebars.

Google AJAX Translation Wordpress Plugin »

The Google AJAX Translation WordPress plugin provides a quick, simple, and light way to add translation to your blog.

A “Translate” button can be added to the bottom or top of posts, pages, and/or comments. When the button is clicked a popup window opens showing a list of available languages.

You can choose which of the 52 languages to display in the Administration Panel. The list of languages can be shown as text (in the native language of each language), as flag icons, or as both. Flag icons can be confusing and sometimes misleading so I recommend the text option. (See this google search for language flags.)

The plugin detects the browser’s preferred language and shows the “Translate” button in that language if available. That language is listed first in the popup. The tooltip for each language is also translated into the browser’s preferred language. If the browser’s preferred language isn’t English a “Translate” button is shown on the Administration Panel that translates the panel. See this page for more information about setting your browser’s preferred language.

Clicking the “powered by Google” link will take you to a full-page Google translation in your browser’s preferred language.

This plugin inserts a flag set to the top of the WordPress sidebar. The base language is pulled from the wp-config file. When a visitor selects a flag, your webpage is automatically translated via one of several on-line automatic language processing tools. No guarantees on the accuracy of the translation!
