Easy Picasa Wordpress Plugin »

This is a very simple but useful plugin, it can help with insert XHTML validated flash album, or pictures, or multiple pictures by single click.

The picasa.js is a Picasa jQuery plugin, picasa.html can be run on local machine as a demo.

A live demo can also be found HERE. (Enter your Picasa username or ‘tester’ in the input box then click ‘go’.)

现在已经有很多Picasa插件了，但不是调用了lightbox就是动用flash，块头一个比一个大，又没有完全实现我要的最简单的功能，本着自己动手丰衣足食的态度自己写个插件。用jquery实现picasa相册的调用，是一个静态的页面，大家可以直接拿出来玩（在线演示，请在输入框输入Picasa用户名或‘tester’，结果为弹出窗口）。可以插入最简单的图片，可以一次插入多张图片。如果直接插入相册则会转换成picasa的flash相册。整个插件没有向wp数据库里写入参数。用户名通过cookie保存。

Get Picasa Albums Wordpress Plugin »

Get Picasa Albums will take a given Picasa username and fetch a listing of all public albums for the given user. Thumbnails to the individual albums will be displayed in a table on the specified WordPress page. Each thumbnail is a link to the actual Picasa album hosted by Google. The user can specify the number of columns to display, so that the resulting table matches the width on the webpage. The user may also specify if random thumnails are used instead of the Picasa thumbs already specified.

If random thumnails are used, a local cache file for each Picasa album will be stored in a sub-folder of the plugin. The cache files are updated if the timestamp on an album changes. If the current stamp matches an existing file, the existing file will be used to fetch a random thumbnail.

Please note that this plugin requires PHP5 or higher

Picasa Slideshow Wordpress Plugin »

This is a plugin written because I could not find something that was as simple and configurable as I needed. This plugin embeds a Flash slideshow (from Google’s Picasa Web) with the proper configuration parameters. The actual slideshow can be added to your blog within your Widget configuration screen for a specified username and album ID.

Once the slideshow is in place, it can autostart or not and will open up a new window when clicked showing the images in full size within Picasa Web. The user ID is self- explanatory along with most of the options available for configuration. The album ID is a long number (about 19 digits) and can be retrieved from the slide show link within Picasa Web Albums or the “Embed Slideshow” link that appears once you have selected an album within your account. The background color is the background color desired for the slideshow and is represented by 6 hexadecimal digits.

Picasa Widget Wordpress Plugin »

This widget allows you to show pictures from your Picasa account in your blog’s sidebar. Install the plugin and make the minimum configurations.

You will see that this plugin works in three modes.

1. Show the last n albums only as text (clickable titles).
2. Show the last n albums using thumbnails.
3. Show the last n pictures from the last m albums, randomly. If m is 1, than you will have randomly pictures from your last Picasa album.

If you don’t want your Picasa pictures in sidebar, but shown as albums in your blog pages, use my other plugin altPWA.
