XP Uploader WordPress Plugin »

This WordPress plugin allows images to be uploaded to a photo-blog using the Windows XP Publish to Web Wizard. The current implementation requires the excellent Yet Another Photo Blog’ plugin from J.P.Jarolim to be installed and active.

When this plugin is activated, an additional Options page is added titled XP-Upload. This page contains a link that will lead to the download of a xppubwiz.reg file, containing the necessary windows registry settings to enable the upload functionality. Register the entries in this file by double-clicking the file. When done so, select some images in explorer, and in the left pane select the “publish to web” option. There you will find your blog.

Image Upload HTTP Error Fix WordPress Plugin »

This plugin is no longer being maintained. Use it at your own risk.

If your WordPress 2.5 installation shows an HTTP Error when uploading files using the media uploader, then this plugin should fix that problem. Simply upload and activate the plugin, then you’ll be able to upload files with no problem.

Technical details:

The plugin adds a few lines to WordPress’ .htaccess file which deactivates mod_security on the file which handles file uploads.

Alternative WordPress Image Uploader Using Flickr WordPress Plugin »

This plugin was created to for those people who are unsatisfied with image resizing capabilites of wordpress uploader. It uses services from flickr. You can upload your images to flickr.com and then make your photos public. You can play with your pictures using services provided by flickr and then using this plugin you can easily attach them to your blog post.

This release aadded the option for choosing tags or sets to fetch the images. Also fixed the issue where enabling this plugin, interfered with wordpress 2.5′s jquery. you can get more information at akWpUploader article.
