WP-Amazon was a great plugin. It allowed authors to easily and quickly add Amazon image and text links to their posts. Unfortunately, WP-Amazon isn’t compatible with WP 2.5, and it seems that the author won’t be updating the plugin to make it so. As such, WP-Amazon Reloaded was born.

This plugin makes it easy for post authors to quickly search Amazon’s index from their posting page, and grab text links to place in their posts. The text links can optionally contain an individual’s affiliate tag. Also, the blog administrator can choose which Amazon locale that they wish to use from a list of the following: Canada, France, Germany, Japan, United States, United Kingdom

The AVH Amazon plugin gives you the ability to add multiple widgets which will display one or more random item(s) from your Amazon wishlist, baby registry and/or wedding registry. It also has the ability to show an item with its link, in posts and pages by use of shortcode.

In the plugin reference is made to Wishlist only but you can use your Baby Registry ID or Wedding Registry ID as well.

o The value all for the ASIN option will show all items from your wishlist. In combination with a text & picture link type you can create a wishlist page.
o Use the option col=”" to set the number of columns to display.

Amazon Search WordPress Plugin »

This plugin allows you to link directly to items in your posts using a special tag of the form:

[amazon ASIN=0123456789]Fancy Title[/amazon]

The plugin lets you set associate IDs for each international amazon server and set one server as the default for your site.

It also includes an Amazon Search widget which will search any of the amazon servers and produce search results with direct links to products.

It also provides an XSLT file for the amazon server to access, which processes it together with the XML results of the search, and then returns HTML. This saves your server from having to process the XML itself.

It uses css to format the search widget and the search results. It will look in its css dir for theme-specific css files too, so if you have one in there called your-theme-name.css, it will include it after default.css. This way you may customize search results for a given theme by dropping in a new css file. So if you allow your users to switch themes, you can include a css file for each one and the search will look correct when it is switched.

Amazon Associate Filter WordPress Plugin »

Amazon Associate Filter automatically adds your amazon associate id to all Amazon links in your posts and comments.

It does this AT DISPLAY TIME — the original link will not be changed in the database.

This may result in slightly longer render times, but means all existing links will be converted as soon as the plugin is activated.

Simple inclusion of Amazon items through machine tags.

1. Identifies any tag in the machine or triple tag form book:isbn=1234567890 or amazon:asin=1234567890. Works with native tags from WordPress 2.3 and later, Bunny’s Technorati Tags, and Jerome’s Keywords.
2. Gets the item information and a thumbnail image from the Amazon Web Services API.
